Are your products legal?

Yes. Mushroom spores are legal in most U.S. states because they do not contain any controlled substances. However, please note that it is illegal to cultivate certain species in some jurisdictions. We do not condone or support the cultivation of our products where prohibited by law.

Is cultivation of your products allowed?

Cultivation of certain mushroom species is illegal in many areas. Spore Genius strictly prohibits the use of our products for cultivation in any jurisdiction where it is not allowed.

Where are you located?

We are located in Michigan and we operate online, we do not disclose our physical business location. This allows us to maintain the privacy and integrity of our operations.


Shipping and Orders

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship within the United States. Please ensure that mushroom spores are legal in your state before placing an order.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 1-2 business days and shipped via standard delivery services. Most packages arrive within 5-7 business days. Expedited shipping options may be available during checkout.

Do you ship to my state?

We cannot ship to California, Georgia, or Idaho due to state regulations regarding mushroom spores. Please consult your local laws to ensure compliance.

How is my order packaged?

We use discreet and secure packaging to protect your privacy and ensure the safety of your products during transit. Packages are labeled with neutral identifiers and do not reference their contents.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Do you offer order tracking?

Yes. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor the status of your delivery. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to update.

What are mushroom spores used for?

Mushroom spores are primarily used for microscopy, taxonomy, and educational purposes. They are not intended for cultivation where it is illegal to do so.

How should I store my spores and liquid culture?

Spores should be stored in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration is recommended to maintain viability for an extended period. Liquid cultures should also be refrigerated and kept sealed until use.

What’s the difference between spore syringes and liquid culture?

  • Spore Syringes: Contain a suspension of mushroom spores in sterile water. Perfect for microscopy and educational purposes.

  • Liquid Cultures: Contain live mycelium suspended in a nutrient-rich solution. Ideal for advanced research applications.

What species do you offer?

We offer a diverse selection of species for research purposes. Popular varieties include Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens. Please refer to our product pages for availability.

Do you provide cultivation advice?

No. Spore Genius does not provide guidance on cultivation, as it is illegal to cultivate certain species in many areas. Our products are strictly intended for microscopy and research purposes.

Are your products contaminant-free?

Yes, our products undergo rigorous quality checks to ensure they are free from contaminants and meet the highest standards for research use.

How long do spores remain viable?

Under proper storage conditions, spore syringes can remain viable for up to a year or longer. Liquid cultures have a shorter shelf life and should be used within a few months for optimal results.


Refunds and Returns

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

We stand behind the quality of our products. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery to arrange a replacement. Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns of used or opened items. We do not issue refunds at this time.

What if my package doesn’t arrive?

If your package is lost in transit, we will work with the carrier to locate it. If it cannot be recovered, we may issue a replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

Do you guarantee the viability of your products?

While we guarantee the quality of our products upon delivery, viability depends on proper storage and handling. Please follow our recommended storage guidelines to ensure the best results.

What if my product is contaminated?

If you discover contamination with a culture purchased from Spore Genius, please notify us within 10 days of your purchase. To report contamination, kindly provide clear photographic evidence via email to support@sporegenius.com.

Upon verification of the reported contamination, we will gladly offer replacements for the affected Culture. However, replacements will only be processed and shipped with your next order.

No Refunds: Please be aware that we do not offer refunds. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
